Yes. Owner Of A Lonely Heart. MS087 CD from 2008. I wonder if anyone else here has this UK origin CD. I bought it sealed in a s/h shop for $3, and it seems an oddity to me, rather like a bootleg. Generic black and white, it contains two "live" and seven "original" tracks with no credits given other than the performers.

Fire EP ~ Trojan Horse (2015)
They describe themselves as: "...listening to a load of King Crimson, Jethro Tull and Yes LPs, and dragged the 70s kicking and screaming through the subsequent decades, whilst cutting away all the 20 minute keyboard solos and ditching the capes. Rolling that ball of musical joy, further forward in time to create a genre snowball effect. Until we landed, ready to sculpt the mass of noise into beautiful shapes."

That's an interesting buy Joe, I must admit that I have never seen that one before.
SpecialEFX Debut album 1984 release
Along with Spyro Gyra, they were quite popular back in the 80s for smooth jazz groove.
I was never enamoured by them but kept buying their records hoping I would find something....
Instrumental rock, while well done after a while to dull in my opinion...so had to switch
...so I switched to something instrumental which is much more exciting, with besides others Steve Morse...
And for breakfast again Horowitz
Neil Young & Crazy Horse. On HDCD 2003. NY & Crazy Horse typically have a palpable groove in their recordings whether live or in studio, but this one misses it for me. Young's vocals are gritty, but there is an overall sluggish, out-of-synch sound to the album. Maybe just my mood tonight.
SpecialEFX: Mystique 1987 release
Mindless background music.
Got his for $4.00 last night - fine if you want to hear live versions of Ringo's songs sung a major 3rd to a 5th lower than the originals...also has Greg Lake (doing Karn Evil 9), Ian Hunter, Howard Jones & Sheila E.
It's OK I guess; glad I didn't pay $4.01 for it...
Per DrMark's post, I dusted this one off the shelf. Mine doesn't have the "Live Priceless Collection" sticker on the cover and I might consider that claim a bit over indulgent. Still, a fun listen while working about the shop.

Nostalgica, remembering the French horn playing of our daughter during her grammar and high school days. Now left at home, the instrument hash't been touched for years.
as it happens, this is the first classical record that i bought -- way back when i was at uni. i think the purchase was spurred by an A* rating in Hifi News -- didnt know anything about this genre -- still dont today -- but have many more classical records now -- guided by my daughter.
i still have the record and it holds a rather special place in my collection.
enjoy

(2009)
Because I'm really enjoying discovering some more albums from this band on Bandcamp, their style is a good blend of progressive, ambient electronic and krautrock that is rather punchy.
Streamed (FLAC) from my NAS:
Murray Perahia - Chopin Etudes
I wouldn't claim to be very knowledgeable about classical music in general, and the piano is not normally my favourite instrument, but I particularly like this album, and in particular the amazing (to my ears) performance by Mr Perahia .
Followed by a box set of Schubert songs sung by Dietrich Fischer Dieskau:
I'm afraid I normally do not like classically trained singing voices, but Dietrich Fisher Dieskau is most definitely an exception. I could listen to this box set of Schubert songs all day long.
Bach Cello suites by Tortelier on LP.
I have decided I don't like his version, so will donate the boxed set to the local charity shop. It is the 1983 digital version, and is miced far too close too IMHO.
Streaming:-
Nils Lofgren - Live
Charlie Musselwhite - Sanctuary
On vinyl from 1982:
Lee Ritenour - Rio
I have a few of his albums on vinyl, and for no other good reason than that I haven't played them for a while.
A good guitarist, and a really good vinyl pressing.

Traffic ~ Traffic (1968)
Probably my favourite album from them and still enjoyable today.
Wispelwey embraces the modernism of Britten's suites for solo cello. It's fascinating stuff, but really not the best entry point for this music; others, including a much younger Wispelwey, bring out the more lyrical qualities of the scores.
EJ
Modern jazz, not more exciting as others but good...
