Just listened to this, one of the best jazz albums of 2012, really looking forward to his new recording

Ash's best album in my view. Nicely reproduced on CD, too.

Yep, I have always thought that their first three albums were very special.

 A brilliant CD collection.

Don Mcleans  American Pie on vinyl. Listened to it on CD a little while ago, and did not enjoy a great deal. The vinyl sounds so mellow - real comfort music!

Master - Sound [gold] Collectors edition CD, probably one of the best sounding CDs in my collection.

I remember being blown away when this their debut was released and when I first heard their twin lead guitars playing off each other, it's still working for me to this day.

Not got that Ash album and I see there's a Collector's Edition due out on 2nd Oct.  Am tempted.

Yep just posted up that forthcoming remaster Mike, if you want to try before you buy and if you have Deezer Elite or Spotify they have pretty much all their back catalogue. FYI that same label have also remastered and expanded "Argus" a few months back and I'm tempted but my SHM-CD sounds very good so I'm not sure but here is a link for you. Cheers, Steve

Iron Maiden, The Book of Souls on CD. 2nd listen as the 1st didn't connect for me. Much better this time and I think it will get better.

I just cant get past the truly awful production. Sounds like they are in, and I am outside, a concrete bunker.

I know what you mean PaulinBath. It could have been so much better.

Cheers, Steve.

The label that has released the Argus 2 cd set don't have a very good rep when it comes to remastering. Usually most of their stuff is brickwalled. However I haven't heard this version so I cannot comment on it's sq myself.
