Because I'm enjoying revisiting some of the earlier work of SS at the moment and this (newly ripped) arrival was well remastered in '91 and sounding great.

This is another very good Joe Gastwirt re-master, this time on this classic from the Atlantic label, great SQ.

Very nice and rounded jazz album, more on the nice sounding side than touching new fields - but again pleasant to hear.

More relaxed tempo than I expected from Heifetz.

Whilst on Tchaik,  I've never given the first three symphonies a go. So here goes..

This new acquisition is rather fine.

Thanks that's a useful tip - it happens every now and then that you forget something and need to add it.

I was also quite pleased with this one. The centerpiece is worth a whole album....

Indeed. It's great to hear an album with the vibraphone playing such a prominent role. Perhaps I'll get my MJQ albums out next.

I had a sudden need to listen to this and realised I'd never ripped it to the NS01. Omission corrected and currently playing.

I've not played this for a while. It's an excellent album played by some of the best British jazz players - piano, bass and guitar. 

Now that is a good album!

CD version. Now I remember why I never bothered getting any of Haden's quartet recordings before.
