Recently snagged a CD copy at the used music/book store I stop by - very happy to get it for $5.

ELO's Greatest Hits (1979). On CD from 1986. Per the recent post of ELO by Steeve_S I dusted this off the shelf, one of my early CD buys. ELO really was a very good band in their time and place. Progressive and creative, and always with a lively groove and funk to their sound.

Stone Temple Pilots. Tiny Music...Songs From The Vatican Gift Shop. On CD from 1996. Harkens back to my days of dedicated listening to the vibrant  alternative music scene on Seattle's FM radio during the mid-90's. This album has a laden SQ but the songs are very good top to bottom.

The Traveling Wilburys Collection. 2 HDCD+DVD (2007). Listening to the 'Volume 1' disc from 1988. Harrison, Dylan, Orbison, Petty and Lynne. Truly a "supergroup" if ever there was one. Fantastic album.

Playing CD 2 of 2, this one remastered in 2003, a double album that added two tracks (40 minutes) on the second CD that were previously unissued.

This is a quite amazing album, and I find it quite disturbing. It's memorable because I've not listened to it for over 45 years, yet I remember all the lyrics. Arthur Brown had a pretty astonishing voice, and stage act!

Listening into the new album of Christian Scott - this is again completely new music, what I have heard so far very promising..

Just a twenty minute EP that is four tracks based on concert and rehearsal recordings from 2014, focussing on the duet of guitar and bass clarinet, with varying degrees of processing. Recorded live in rehearsal at The Lightroom, 29th October 2014. This one of theirs is ambient with interesting soundscapes.

Music Matters Vinyl.

Lovely album, one of my favourites. The Music Matters mastering/pressings are superb, I have a subscription and received all the 33rpm titles to date. One slight caveat with this pressing though is the print through echo most noticeable on Mule. MM tell me that it is present on the master tape. Have you noticed?

I noticed as well, it's annoying as it wasn't present on my '80s Blue Note LP or on a hi res file I have.

Superb album though.

Yes I have also noticed this echo on my MM copy but as you say still a superb album.

Sunshine Young ~ Umber       (2013)

Vey peaceful and pleasant ambient landscapes, great to relax with or while getting on with some monotonous chores...

Being rather anal I seem to have both the mono and stereo versions of this Track LP. I play them quite regularly. It's very strange but excellent.

Excellent music from this lad who deserves to go far should he actually wish to...

These works from Plini are only sampler / EP length albums of about 15 minutes so I have put the two I will be playing together here.

"This album stunned me, literally. Never expected jazz and metal can be combined so perfectly to the point that every second is a pleasure to listen to. Simply - a masterpiece." ~ A Bandcamp Patron

(2015)

"This is a true masterpiece. With the previous albums already being a hit, The End of Everything even tops them. It is way more innovative than the rest, again concentrating more on a djenty character on the intro and outro, but here literally playing with jazz on "Wombat Astronaut", even featuring a double bass solo. Plini's best release to date." ~ Another Bandcamp Patron

Sticking with guitar centred music (after playing Plini) I'm giving this a play because there are elements of his music that reminded me of Jeff Beck's later style.

Not too much of a reason for explanation after my last few playlisted, I just wanted some more...
