Listened to this in the car - wasn't so impressed as I once was about this album...

Its a great one Joe and certainly right up there as being one of the best, your post has nudged me to put it into the playlist so I remember to give it a spin (stream) later on.

Simply because its another beautiful, warm, clear blue sky day and this happy album sets it all off so well.

Annie L' with her political and humanities hats on but pulling off the neat trick of making great sounding engaging music whilst getting her views across.

Sound is less good than the other one, but the artist is of course great...

Continuing my rediscovery of the Who, tonight I've been playing a few favourite tracks from the Ultimate Collection and have just enjoyed Endless Wire. I've also just ordered a new vinyl copy of Quadrophenia which I see has been rereleased on heavy weight vinyl. I think this will be the 6th copy of that album for me.

On red vinyl, bought this weekend from Jerry's Records in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania! Well worth a visit if you're in the area. Cal Tjader's just the thing for this dreary day we're having in NYC. (Speaking of, could be a hurricane in these parts this weekend. Just when you thought it was safe to go back in the water...)

A big dose of E major before bed. Love the sound of these two.  Ver differently played.  Milstein every even and lovely warm sound. Szeryng's is the slowest I've ever heard and lots of variation in weight of note. He really digs in at some of the groups of notes. If I had to take one, it would be the former but both are great and it's lovely to hear violinists not from the East Coast violinist factory. Having said that, I do like Hilary Hahn, especially her Bach.

Recently got the Music Matters vinyl re-release (stereo) -- I have to say, this is a very, very fine sounding record!

Oh! Olivia... I loved her as a teenager and I still listen to her Crystal voice with such pleasure.

Thank God I kept all those 70's vinyls!
