So far everyone who's posted about these 45 rpm reissues comment on their brightness and wrong on trebles.

kuma, I agree with the above comment. It is very bright in the treble's and recorded very loud, the separation of the instruments is better defined than my original copy which can sound smeared compared to the 45rpm. However, the 45 sounds far too digital for my taste I suppose it could be described as a "Marmite" album some people will love it others will hate it.

Graham, that sounds like a typical digital reissue failing to me.

 

I've a Classic Records reissue of 'Shaking the Tree' and I recall I experienced the same thing. I was so disappointed!

I often wondered if the UK original pressing would be so much better but I have never seen one.

 

Who did the remastering on the new 45s?
