(2012)

This has been a really good (late) afternoon for listening so, finishing it off with Toundra's third and possibly their best although its too close to call. Excellent heavy instrumental prog-rock .

Ooh yes, great. Not seen that played for a long while.

A bit of electric pop.

Prompted by Tony2011's Phil Collins comeback thread in the Padded Cell. Yep, The Musical Box is a great song.

Great live album.

Got the taste for Phil C now.  I've always particularly liked Thru These Walls on this album.

And the version on the first Genesis live album (entitled 'Genesis Live') is even better. That album can be had for a bargain price too.

Not as good as I remember, doesn't compare that well to the old good albums....

Thanks for the prod Howard. Nice one. It's on heavy rotation here - revealing more and more layers with familiarisation.

A superb range of guest artists with J-M J on an album reflecting the history of electronic music. We get Laurie Anderson with that fabulously sensual voice and Pete Townshend (to name but two) having a laugh.

And whoa; a 'backwards opening' digi-pack. I can't say that I've hitherto encountered one. Is J-M J a leftie perchance?

Lovely stuff. Part 2, due Spring 2016.

John.

Long time since I'd pulled this out...

I think you can make an argument that this was his strongest post Beatles work - an awful lot of strong tunes on this album...
