Made up from hours of live material, the two pieces here work beautifully as stand alone compositions.
Steve Miller Band. 3 CD box set from 1994. A fine compilation of Miller's rather extensive discography to that time. The accompanying 55-page booklet provides some remarkable insight to the artist's pedigree, including his exposure to the likes of Les Paul and T-Bone Walker performing in his childhood home and a father that took him to see live the likes of Chuck Berry, Carl Perkins, Hank Williams, and Frankie Lymon.

Just time for some of this excellent concert from Disc one of two.
Teddy Wilson: Mr. Wilson and Mr. Gershwin 1959 release
So a local jazz record store owner recommended him when he saw me picking bunch of Erroll Garner records. Smooth and suave piano playing of Wilson is a polar opposite of Garner's gutsy lively style.
OK ewemon - fess up - what's the 411 behind this one? Looks like something I would want to have and can't because I don't have your inside connections!
Edit: Did some research and see this is from that boxed set - wish they would release this on its own as well (can get mp3 download but "meh" to that.) Is it true this is recorded "live" but with overdubbed crowd noise?
It is being released in Japan on the 24th Dec as a single disc for about £11. You can pre order it on certain Japanese web sites at the moment. However if I was you I would wait till nearer the time and then order it as the Japanese do cancel releases and sometimes it is difficult to get your money back because of the language difficulty.
I use either Amazon Japan or cd japan for my Japanese purchases.
When they originally released some of these trax as bonuses on their cd's they added crowd noise. There is none on this set.
IMHO it is a must for any Isley fan, slow jams, guitar work outs it has it all.
Great album.
During workout, a quite depressive overall thing..
Streaming through Qobuz..., like it so far....
A rip from my original vinyl. Great live album.

Thank you as always!
1972 RCA LP on Dynaflex vinyl, a reflection of the '70s oil crisis.

Seeing a few Who postings recently has prompted me to take a quick trip through some hits.

Tony - at least there are the CDs, and on that evidence they were great concerts although I don't know which day I went!
Discovered this lady on here - gorgeous stuff. But for some reason I want to call her Mary Chuffin' Carpenter. I know, I know, very juvenile.

I went on the Tuesday after a drive down from Nottingham, it took us ages to find Ally Pally where my daughter amazingly now lives, just behind the park itself.
I also remember Phil Lesh and Ned Lagin played "Seastones" in the time between the 1st and 2nd sets.

Emerson Lake and Palmer ~ Emerson Lake and Palmer
(1970)
Listening to the second of the two ripped CDs and I'm really pleased with the SQ. Steven Wilson (2013) has done a very good job on this great debut album, more detail, clarity and weight from top to bottom.
