Augustus Pablo - King Tubby Meets Rockers Uptown

Augustus Pablo. Original Yard Music vinyl from 1976

John Lennon. Imagine (1970). Original Parlophone/Capitol CD from 1987. The title track is a timeless anthem, but I think that Jealous Guy, Oh My Love, and How? are three of the loveliest melodies John Lennon recorded during his solo career.

A rather delicate album perhaps better suited to playing in the quiet of the evening but really rewarding if you are able to give the time to properly listen to it.

On the vinyl black stuff :-

Not much of a Kate Bush fan but this is the best one she did IMO.

I was in two minds about getting this, having found Parish something of a challenge, but took the plunge and I'm glad I did. It's a super record, and the sound quality is stunningly good.

Had to do a bit of editing to the metadata to get all tracks from the album recognised properly. Sounding fine from their Studio Albums 1969-87 box.

I had never heard Jane Monheit before visiting Trickiedickie last week. It's a rather good record.

Beginning with that memorable line 'Looking for someone..' and concluding with the crescendo of The Knife.  What an album.

Yep, super album Mike I was listening to some various early Genesis just the other day. I still think that their Definitive Edition remasters are the ones to go for.
