(1986)
Although not released until '86 this music had been recorded around 1973 and remained unpublished for well over a decade. It's much more in the style of TD's earlier music ,as you would expect. Apparently the project began life in August 1973 at a session in Skyline Studio in Berlin after which it lay untouched until being remixed in '84 prior to its later release by Esoteric.
Via Tidal a bit of modern Brit Prog, maybe not so modern they started in 1994, this is a 2010 EP, although 40+ minutes was a records length a while back:-
Big Big Train - Far Skies Deep Time.
Kirsty Macoll - Kite
On CD:-
Bob Dylan - New Morning
Richard Thompson - You? Me? Us?

My Life In The Bush OF Ghosts ~ David Byrne & Brian Eno (1981)
I remember being blowing away by this album when it was first released, so much going on, so many different sounds and ideas, mixing African and Middle Eastern styles with electronica. Fortunately time has been very kind and it still sounds great.
First play of this recent release on double LP. What a return to form this represents, probably their best album since Technique. Even after one listen this is one of the best things I have heard this year. Looking forward to seeing them in Manchester in early December.
This is a lovely album.

It is indeed, Pink is also good and To Brazil With Love is nice as well, this one slips into some Bossa Nova as the title would suggest.
I haven't tried I Believe In Little Things yet, this seems expensive and an import only, it is a collection of childrens songs which I think would be charming.
Glad your visit was worthwhile!
Richard
Not the best vocalist in the world but boy he can play that acoustic guitar!
I was in two minds about getting this, having found Parish something of a challenge, but took the plunge and I'm glad I did. It's a super record, and the sound quality is stunningly good.
I have just received this in the post today and intend playing it this weekend! Now I can't wait.

One of my albums of the year. His other release out at the moment is great too but somewhat different and more electronic - FOOD - This is not a miracle

I didn't appreciate their 2nd album when it was released but further listening (advised by ewemon) changed my perception. It is a hauntingly good album, with lot's going on and very well produced.

Glad your enjoying it. Really good album.

Seeing him on his current tour in a couple of days. The last time I saw him live he had a trampoline on stage and kept doing somesaults off it and got blown off stage by the support act who as it happens was Tom Petty on his first UK tour.
Dylan last week - Neil this week - I am in seventh heaven!
On vinyl
Oh and it was Neil's 70th birthday yesterday... Happy Birthday Neil... great new album release!

I seem to appreciate ELO more now than I did back in the day, lovely stuff. This Hi-Res download from HDtracks sounds very good indeed.
I Am In The Mood For Love.
Delicious sound on the Japanese label Venus, distributed by the Italian label EGEA.
