Stephen Stills. Eponymous debut on original vinyl from 1970. It really was a great year for rock album releases and this stands for me among the best of 1970.

Bruce Springsteen. Lucky Town. On CD from 1992. Plugging gaps in my Springsteen discography I've given this several listens over the past week and am enjoying it. Good energy to it.

(1972)

A Tangerine Dream album from when they were at their most experimental and avant garde and prior to the invention and their use of sequencers.

Eagles of Death Metal

This is an excellent album of 're-imagined' Sondheim tunes. It's on Qobuz at £10.79 for the CD quality download - half the price of buying the triple CD.

Hi Steve

I am not sure whether anyone else is experiencing this but sometimes your images appear for me and sometimes they don't. In this case they don't. I wondered whether you were using a different process for some of them. Clearly not everyone is getting the blank because people have responded when I cannot see the image. If it's just me then don't worry, if it's not only me perhaps someone can enlighten us. I am using Safari on a MacBook.

Those in the know say that this is their best album to date, all I know is that if you like the Ozric Tentacles music then you will like this, listening to CD one of two.

OK thanks, Steve. I'm using El Capitan which seems to be the only substantive difference. It's probably only affecting me so I don't think SteveJ should bother about it.

I'm using Imageshack and MacBook Pro. I can't explain why you can't see the images Clive. I've been using the same method for years.

This new release far exceeds my expectations for SQ and the music rocks.

I had this LP for Christmas when it came out in 1970. I still have the album and it remains one of my favourites.

(1971)

Recent talk of Stephen Stills has me putting this one on. His first solo album was always going to be a tough act to follow and so this did come in for some disappointed criticism at the time. However I think its a super album and in my view he was on a good roll with Manassas following up in the next year.
