Takin' My Time

An old classic I haven't played in years . By the way for any Bonnie fans she is touring the UK next May. Her gigs are usually well worth an effort to go and see.

The Who Live At Hyde Park on vinyl. After the first few bars which made me think there was a problem with my system, I stopped thinking of soundstage, etc, turned the wick up and enjoyed the music. Wish I had been there!

Brillian album, full of soul and emotion, and a pretty good recording too.  Recommended

Fourplay "Lets Touch The Sky"  ...

....  smo-o-o-th jazz

....  lay back, re-e-e-e-lax & soak the groove, mellow tones

I don't suppose anyone knows why my images are vanishing?

An early Evans from 1956.

I have no technical knowledge of the web, but my layman's understanding is that you are copying the vanishing images from sites without permanent links and/or archived images. I find amazon a reliable site. Links to their images are usually permanent.

David Gilmour. Rattle That Lock. On vinyl from 2015. Great album!

David Gilmour. On An Island (2006). On the just reissued vinyl. Very good album!

David Gilmour. His first solo LP from 1978. My favorite of the four DG LPs and despite it being a relative old-school pressing on light-weight vinyl, has the best SQ of the bunch.

This is my all time favourite Evans. His first solo album as a leader.

If I can only have one Evans record, this is it.

I wish someone would redo this on vinyl much better than AP did.

A replacement disc.

It is still not the quietest record and still a slight off centre hole but this time the record is flatter and free of large gouge. The record surface, as the last time, is full of faint scratches. I dunno what they are doing at MPO, but it is apparent that Sony reissues got a better QC than this Erato reissue.

I highly recommend to get this in digital form unless you plan to play it on a Crosley. :/

David Gilmour. About Face. On vinyl from 1984. After playing his other three, this seemed only fitting. I guess I should look into getting a live album or two of his.

Neil Young. Freedom. On CD from 1989. As suggested by the Rockin' Doc. Good call Steve.

Red Hot Chili Peppers. By The Way. On CD from 2002. Stylized, engaging music with an emphasis on PRaT. Solid album top to bottom .

Live in Gdansk  ..............  Outstanding

.......   part of his On An Island project - sorry but forget the vinyl,  it was also released with all sorts of conbo's of silver disks; not sure whats available these days.  I have the DVD & two CD package, the double CD is super SQ,  also the SQ is outstanding on the DVD plus its shows the master at work.

Great DG band includes Rick Wright (sadly one of his last appearances) & one of my other favourite guitarists Phil Manzanera who co produced the work.

Mike,

Appreciate the recommendation and I'm looking to order the Live In Gdansk CD (don't do DVDs). I'm happy to have DG's studio albums on vinyl but looking on the web Gdansk LP is, as you say, out of the rational cost equation. Cheers!

I agree with Joe, the Amazon photo links are the most reliable ones to use.

Just their second album before their Virgin years when they were still with the Ohr label in Germany and Polydor in the UK.
