IMO, Can's first six studio albums are wonderful. But the next five...well, not so much. Fortunately, their twelth and final effort was a fine return to form!

At various points in time, I've heard the same criticism leveled at Pletnev, Uchida, Brendel, Lewis, and even Perahia. He's in good company!
