I will have to have a look Nigel and see if I could work it out because it is driving me mad

Once you have the picture in photobucket, you copy the direct link.  Then on the forum you click the little mountain and post the link into the little box. Add a witty comment, such as 'I dont know why I'm listening to Rush when the Smiths are so much better' and you're off!

I will try it out over the weeknd, love the witty remark too!

Just for you...

And in case anyone thinks I like Rush, you'll see that it only played for 12 seconds, just long enough to capture the screen shot!

I knew I would get you listening to them eventually!  Excellent

My favourite Rush album, give it time HH, it took me a while to really 'get into'. A bit like old slippers!

Scanning through some Bandcamp stuff while doing a workout. Pretty good with a soul kind of touch...

Instrumental rock, songs change before it could get boring. I think I will not buy this as it would bore me after multiple times listening...

Interesting an imaginative jazz, I will certainly have a 2nd listen and might buy it...

Bruce Springsteen. Tracks. On 4 HDCD's from 1998. Having watched "The Ties That Bind" earlier today put me in the mood to hear this. I'm listening to discs 1 and 2 which includes "The River" sessions.

Szell/Concertgebouw: Sibelius Symphony 2  1964 Recording

I think I am finally getting somewhere with this symphony.

The music captivates from the top with excellent timing ( ma ) and rhythmic drive. Now I realise that individual strands of melody created by each instrument has a purpose and they interplay one another.

With Szell’s chamber music like precision, it is easier to follow what's going on. Excellent micro details are coming to the surface where I was not aware of them before. There are a few desonnant horn sound which adds unsettling feeling much like Bruckner’s 4th movement in the 9th. His 3rd movement is truly a *vivacissimo* filled with vivacious elated nervous energy coming forth. Good story telling and lively much like Monteux but surprisingly Szell’s more down to earth and perhaps earthier.

Overall tone is natural and warm and very little distortion. Unusually low noise for a 50 year old record. A decent transparency and dynamics highly polished usual Phillips high standard production. Compared to the mono recording, it has a laid back perspective but the soundstage and depth of layering plus note decays are much better on this Holland pressing.

@Kuma: Try to find a recording of Sibelius 2 with Beecham or Barbirolli.

Really enjoying this. Anarchic musical voyage and great guitar, kind of "Zappaesque".

I agree Tony, it's good stuff, if you haven't tried it already give their earlier World Music album a go on Bandcamp or Deezer Elite.
