Nerina Pallot, Fires, every time I listen to this album it amazes me how good it is. Excellent SQ too. Flac via audirvana/Hugo

Huey Lewis & The News. Sports. On vinyl from 1983. Chock-full of good songs and impressive SQ.

Steve Winwood. Back In The High Life. On vinyl from 1986 - a Sterling DMM, FWIW. Another LP with impressive SQ. They really had gotten vinyl SQ dialed-in just about the time CDs became the rage.

CCR. Cosmo's Factory. An early blue label pressing from 1970. John Fogerty always got warm wonderful sounds out of his guitar and amp, yet often played with a raw, gritty offset that worked well with his edgy vocals. His guitar playing on "Ramble Tamble" is extraordinary.

Beck. Modern Guilt. On CD from 2008. First listen. Beck's got musicality, funk and rhythm like few others, but I find the overly compressed bass on this album a real distraction to the music.

Sigma, Life.  My wife and son saw these live a week or two ago and were very impressed.  I can see why becuase this is an excellent album, modern and dancy but very melodic and with great singers featured.  Good work out for your system too.  highly recommended.  Flac via audirvana/Hugo

To kick off the Christmas holiday whilst all the girls are out shopping. For me I hope!

If the system is 'off' Andy Fraser is all over the place, swamping the mix, but the NDAC/XPS is exhibiting a nice tuneful grip to propell the music along.

Fain by Wolf People (2013)

Quite retro yet modern with its style of fuzzy guitar rock mixed in with psychedelic folk. Shades of Tull, early Fleetwood Mac, Groundhogs  and much more. This album and Steeple are two very good albums by the band who must surely be releasing a new one next year...

With you there Stevee. LOVE "Steeple".

On vinyl, a new purchase. Woozy welsh neo-psychedelia. Ace.
