After many, many years, I finally bought "This Year's Model" by Elvis Costello & The Attractions on CD which means having ripped it, I can now listen to it on various devices rather than only on my main system.
It's probably around 10 years since I last listened to it and I have to say, I've been taken right back to being a 17 year old and I'm loving every minute of it!
What a great album with so many great songs and still sounds great.

Enjoying this while downloading the earlier symphonies of the same ensemble via Linn Records..

I wanted to listen to some of Alvin Lee's fast guitar work, particularly the funky, fuzzy opening track I'm Coming On which still sounds fresh and exciting today today.

Having persevered I might at long last be starting to appreciate this album, but then it might be just me getting into the Christmas spirit

Having warmed somewhat towards Endless River, I then played this.  Hmmm. ER is still way behind Animals.

You gotta be crazy, you gotta have a real need.

Two more sleeps and Rattle will be on the table, hopefully better than ER.

I'll join you with some CCR Nigel.

This 1984 Fantasy label (not re-mastered) West German CD has really good SQ.

Because - you have to ask?

Oh my!

A pretty good live album.  The songs, The Man Who Sold The World and Where Did You Sleep Last Night are particularly good.

It's good, but I miss the playfulness of somebody like Jean-Efflam Bavouzet, but definitely one of the better ones...
