Not sure but I think this was the first time the complete work had been played in its entirety and recorded. I don't think it had been available in any other format before this release.

Henry Mancini: Sunflower soundtrack  1970 release

I remember listening to this on my father's 8 track cassette car stereo.

Finally listening to a NOS vinyl pressing I found last year.

Horowitz: Scriabin Sonata No.3, Op.23 & 16 Preludes  1956 Recording Mono

I know Scriabin's 5 & 9 Sonata but this is the first time listening to No.3 which is a bit more of a challenge.

It is a sort of a program music but the way Horowitz plays is a bit extreme.

Extremely dramatic opening with pleading quality. Playful Allegretto. Horowitz injects his usual child like carefree attitude. On the whole, it appears that he’s operating with just two modes. Loud and soft and nothing in between.

First track of her upcoming album - available via Tidal.

Sounds fantastic - making the hairs on the back of my neck stand up !  Straight into second play.

This album will be a belter if this track is representative

Great stuff going on here and what's not to like? Bruce's bass and bluesy voice combined with Trowers lead guitar playing some really good numbers.

Some days you really cannot listen to anything else than classic simple rock. Easy and uncomplicated to listen to and from two great artists:

Exploring this chap's music for the first time prompted by other members posts.  Very impressed - different to stuff I normally listen to.   Via Tidal.

Tony,

I have an old 3 x LP boxset of the Messiah, can't remember whose composing, but it's very good.

I was surprised I managed to listen to all three discs without getting bored, but I must admit I find Handel very easy to listen too.

Great track and wish I could tell you about the rest of the album but unfortunately my lips are sealed.
