Larry,

Is the MFSL CTA vinyl or CD? What do you think of it and do you have the original vinyl to compare? I'm curious because I like the album much but can't find a used original locally that is in decent condition.

Paul Simon. Songs From The Capeman. On CD from 1997. Not sure why I gave this a second listen as I detest Broadway show music. I'll keep this as a part of my Simon discography, but it will be placed deep on a mental back shelf.

This is a good progressive rock album, not so much lyrics, more focus on music - atmospheric, and I think it was their first

After their first I played the current album, this is more mature while the first album is already a great album in it's own right. I suggest progressive rock fans to give this band a try

From a previous post... I was listening to Days between Stations on Spotify (now on order from Amazon!) and Spotify suggested Shadow Circus... Good old fashioned symphonic prog.

Not your typical Broadway show music. Maybe that's part of the reason it had a very short run. Some good tracks though, especially "Trailways Bus".

I came across this CD that I'd forgotten about. I've just ripped it (aiff) and it sounds really good. It's a gold CD using Super Bit Mapping on a label called Audiophile legends from 1995. It's one of the best CD rips I have. Recommended if you can find it. Catalogue No APH 102.805.

IQ ~ The Road of Bones (2014)

Side one of their latest (2 CD) album. The British prog' rockers continue to impress with this fine album which has now been added to my shopping basket.

There's a major strand (actually most of it) of UK folk music that I absolutely detest - prissy, self-righteous, twee and reactionary.

But this is beautiful, with some lovely playing by Bert and bassist Danny Thompson. On CD:

I really like the old 2-LP version of this, for its loose, raw and relaxed qualities. Just been lent this gargantuan 6-CD box, which thus far (20 minutes in) I am really enjoying, although there's a lot of stuff here I would probably only listen to once.

Between Stations ~ Between Stations (2007)

Thanks Bert (Schurink), I have enjoyed my first listen to this and agree with your assessment, this is an interesting prog rock band that I had not heard before. I will queue up their second and latest album (from 2013) later on.
