This is another superb date by pianist Hank Jones; with Kenny Clark on drums and Wendall Marshall on bass. Highly recommended for fans of piano trio music.

Joe,

I have the MFSL vinyl purchased second hand a few years ago. I only have a Rhino reissue to compare to. I prefer it to the Rhino reissue but to be fair the Rhino reissue holds up pretty good to the MFSL. By the way MFSL is going to release this on vinyl in the near future. MFSL just released the SACD for this title but I would wait for the vinyl. I am waiting the MFSL release of the vinyl and then I will have three copies.

Gerry Rafferty. City To City. On original vinyl from 1978. Another album I appreciate much more these days than I did when it was released.

Esperanza's funky-hip-hop-jazz peculiarity released in 2012.

I still think the first track is a musical mess but the album get's it together nicely from then after.

The occasional [proper] instrumental-break guitar/saxophone would of improved things further...

The Doors. The Soft Parade (1969). Rhino vinyl from 2009. A nicely done reissue from sound to packaging to butterfly label.

Larry,

I'll probably take your advice on CTA and wait for the latest MFSL vinyl. In the mean time, should I happen across a NM original 360 Sound label I'd probably give that a go as well.

I bought the album when it came out after listening to 'I can't help it' cover in a background at a local record shop.

I always end up just playing Side B only.

Blue Oyster Cult. Fire Of Unknown Origin. On vinyl from 1981. Have not spun this in a long time.

Bohm/Vienna Phil's Requimen is the longest I have heard to date clocking  over 64 min.

This is a UK copy but the voices have absolutely no congestions albeit a little laid back in perspective.

CSN. Greatest Hits. On HDCD from 2005. David Crosby once said "The three of us have very different voices. We have different accents. We have different attitudes. We are very different people. But the thing that happens when you put those voices together is just amazing. There was something magic there."  Magic, I couldn't agree more.
