The consistently excellent Ms. Faust plays Bartok's violin concertos. One of the these days I need to get her rendition of the violin sonatas.

Cheers

Guns 'N Roses, Appetite for Destruction, a reminder of what a damned explosive original band these were at their peak, and if that doesn't blow the cobwebs off and get the speaker cones moving nothing will

More Faust, in perhaps her most celebrated album.

Melnikov accompanies various colleagues in these sonatas, including Isabelle Faust.

The horn sonata includes the poem written by Hindemith as a preface to the fourth movement. It is quite a good text, actually, but its spoken delivery here is stilted and overly serious. I thought once is enough, so I used sample manager to cut the poem from the track (archiving the original).
