Hi
an NDX should fit yr system well...
As long as it is a 24/192 version it should be good vs a new one..
Enjoy
A 2012 unit is the same spec as a new unit
The only change made since first introduced in 2010 was to go from 24/96 to 24/192 in 2011
Don't the new units have the larger screen as in the NDS

As a 2012 it's the same functionality, and you should be able to get it for a substantial discount vs. a new one. The difference is the money you'll save!
Thanks guys. That is what I thought. I'm assuming Spotify Connect comes with 4.1?
It does, as long as it is a 24/192 NDX
Bluetooth added to the latest versions .No upgrade available for this as yet.

Bluetooth was added to the Uniti products; I didn't (don't) think it was added to the ND-model streamer/players such as the NDX.

And also the firmware update port has changed from RS232. to USB I believe.

Talking of RS232 on NDX, the photo on the Naim "Products" www still shows the RS232. Bit of a shame that !!!

I think you can get Spotify if the NDX is the version which can stream 24bit/192kHz. Earlier NDXs were limited to 96kHz but could be updated to 192kHz with a new board.
Relevant info from Naim:
"NaimUniti, UnitiQute and NDX models are only compatible if they are 24bit/192kHz capable. This hardware was brought into production on all Naim streamers in 2011. To check if your player is compatible, use the remote control to press ‘Tools’ and scroll to ‘Factory Settings > System Status > BC SW’. If the version number displayed begins with ‘3D’ the product is compatible.
If it does not, your product can be upgraded to 24bit/192kHz standard via a hardware change. Please contact your Naim retailer if you wish to upgrade your unit to the latest specification. Please note: this hardware upgrade will involve a charge."
