"A group describing themselves as the "CyberCaliphate" apparently gained control of the official Twitter and YouTube pages of U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) on Monday and began posting messages supportive of the jihadist group Islamic State (also known as ISIS)."

Two can play at that game; I see the "Anonymous" hacking group have taken down a wesite which had links to extremists.

The Ansar Alhaqq site is still down apparently Tony. Anonymous are often characterised as "cyber terrorists" by governments and corporations, but they actually do a lot of good - last year they closed down a paedophile network and also put the KKK's Twitter feed out of action.

If Western governments had any sense they will leave them alone for a while and let them get on with this important work!

Also, I do wonder if the hack actually was by ISIS (or Da'ish/DAESH, as Arab speakers derogatorily call them) rather than mischief makers or someone with a grudge - perhaps from within CENTCOM.

It seems that the hacking has been embarrassing, rather than actually harmful.
