Twonky Media reorders the tracks alphabetically

It really annoys -- how can I make it show the tracks in original order ?
Not too many Twonkey fans around .......
A friend of mine bought it with his QUAP & quickly pronounced it as rubbish, installed Asset, problem solved.
Not sure what model of QNAP you have or what version of Twonky you are using ? The QNAP forum will have lots of information nad potential fixes for this issue. My solution has been to load an old version of Twonky (4.4.17) via QPKG plugin. Works perfectly.
I would also agree that Asset upnp is a good option - which again can be loaded by QPKG. You get a free trial - so worth giving it a go.

I gave up on Twonkey a long time ago too. I switched to MinimServer, which is free and particularly suitable for classical music collections. Highly recommended.
I went into the Arlist and Artist/Album and when looking at the Albums, they are ordered by track, not alphabetically. Is that how you access the albums.
I have found Twonky order FLAC correctly but will sort wave files alphabetically, are they wave files?
What at did you rip the files with?

My middle name used to be 'Wonky'. Now Twonky has it. 'Wonky Twonky'.
Seriously now...I have a Qnap TS-112 NAS, which came with Twonky. I have lived with the problem of Twonky, displaying and playing albums alphabetically for three years!!
If you want to stay with Twonky, then there is a long winded way around it. Because I am a Mac user, I use XLD to re tag albums. So using XLD, this what I do...
Directly before the track name, put 01, 02, 03 and so on. Twonky will then play the album in it's original track listing. The downside to this, is that, if you have hundreds of albums, it will take you yonks!!
Why on earth Twonky doesn't sort this, is anyone's guess!
One day, whilst trawling through the apps in the Qnap app centre, I came across PLEX Media Server. It blows Twonky out of the water. The album artwork is great, and displays it perfectly in the Naim app, the other metadater is also great, and it displays and plays everything in it's correct order.
On the rare occasion that PLEX gets it wrong, and most music servers do, you can edit/re tag your album within PLEX. And...there is a desktop and Mac version of PLEX too...Free!!
Get rid of wonky. I had this problem which really annoyed me. Minimserver is brilliant and trouble free. Enjoy
+1 for Minim. Slightly geeky but knocks the spots off Asset and Twonky
