Error incompatible spotify version UQ2

Posted by: MarcelZ on 18 January 2015

For some reason i restarted my netgear nighthawk router and restarted also my uq2 because all is on the same powerswitch.

My spotify membership was not valid anymore so i decided to subscribe with a different username again.

It shows me i am on premium now.

Why the uq2 when restarted tells me the spotify version is not Compatible? And more important what to do to fix this?

all worked fine in the past.

thanks

Are you really on Premium? If you are, you will see the little speaker in the bottom right hand corner, and when you press it you will see the name of the UQ.

Are you using the Spotify Beta version? The normal Spotify Premium does not connect

I use the ipad for spotify. Its the only version what i can download from the store(i think).

When i switch between iradio or any other input and then to spotify it shows this message.

So the message is in the display before i even try to connect via the ipad.

Also when on the UQ2 'spotify' is selected and then i switch it off and then on, it restarts and

then give me again this message.

It worked before. This happened after i restarted my router or when i subscibed again to spotify with a different account.

I am sure i am on premium.

When i want to connect via the ipad the small speaker icon stays in white instead of green but ill see he try to connect.

A daft question I am sure but are you paying a monthly fee to Spotify for the account with the username that you are now using?  It does sound as though you are not using a spotify premium account

Check the App Store on your iPad to ensure you have the latest version of the Spotify app.
Restart your iPad.

This is wrong.  Use the Spotify app that's in the App Store.  No "beta" needed.

I use ipad spotify version 2.2.0.2464.

i switched of my ipad and al the rest what is connected to my network.

after that i switched of router and uq2.

Restarted router and uq2. Then opened the naim app On ipad.

Everything works good on the UQ2, but when i switch to spotify it displays "

error incompatible spotify version".

So i dont tell spotify to connect . The app is not  on!

it is something in the uq2 , i think, or??

Solved it. I did a factory reset on the uq2 and all works fine again.

maybe the uq2 save some settings from spotify app with different premium membership???

thanks all
