Problem with HDX

Posted by: PeterX on 25 January 2015

Brought my HDX out of standby this morning. However the display/touch screen did not go through its normal update sequence and is stuck displaying "NAIM Starting". So can't use the touch screen Selection Tree. The underlying system however has switched on correctly as I am able to use the n Serve app as normal to select etc (am listening to Debussy as I type this). However I could also be burning 'Naim Starting' onto the display screen.

I have switched off and restarted (several times) but with the same result. Anyone else had this problem?

I did see something similar when my HD was faulty.

I would make sure you have everything backed up and I would do a normal power down and reboot.  Remember you can power down from the remote.

Try shutting down, remove ethernet connection, restart and wait until/if searching for network connection and plug ethernet back in.

Hi Graeme

Just tried your suggestion with the same result. Still have 'Naim Starting' on the outline of a Cd disc on the screen. It's frozen in this condition although as I said I can still access and play from the music library via the iPad and n serve.
