Android app bugs

Not sure if this is covered elsewhere. I have an iPad and a iPhone and also an Android phone (I know, I know). The Naim app is very good on the IOS devices and I enjoy using it. That's most of the time, so this isn't a major problem for me. However, the Android version seems much more buggy.
The device is a Sony Xperia M2 and it's running Android 4.4.4 (kitkat). The kit is a NAC 172xs running the latest firmware.
- The app fairly often fails completely.
- It will never select an individual song to play - the app behaves as if it has, but it doesn't play. It will select whole albums to play or 'play from this track' but not 'play this track'.
- It also seems to struggle to rescan after something's been added - eg a new album - and won't accept it's there until I reset the app.
- The 'back' button seems to return to the home screen by default, rather than going back one step in the hierarchy.
None of these things happen on the IOS version, which I think is very good. Using it on Android, even occasionally, is a less pleasant experience.
