Unitilite Wireless connectivity

Posted by: DodgeyRodge on 10 February 2015

Hello All, I've trawled through the forum a few times and realise this may have been asked in one guise or another but am starting to get a little concerned now and wanted to be specific about the issue I'm experiencing. I've got a ...

Naim Unitilite using wireless connection (Wired is out of the question)

NetGear ReadyNAS 102 containing 2 x 2TB WD Red drives (This is the main preferred NAS)

SeaGate 2TB Central NAS (This will be a backup once all's up and working)

Both NAS drives connected to the same router (Virgin Media Super Hub)

Have had this system for a couple of months now, has been working fine and have been going through the process of ripping all CDs to flac via DBPowerAmp, deep joy

Within the last few days I've noticed the Unitilite only sees the SeaGate drive (Both via the remote/front panel and via the App) - Everything else, i.e. other laptops/tablets/phones etc see both NAS drives

I've tried to think of something that might have changed that might be the issue but cannot think of, and fairly sure there isn't, anything

The only thing that is changing is the number of flac files is growing .75tb+ That cannot be the issue ?

The Unitilite has been powered off and have toggled off the wireless connectivity and then re-entered the router IP to no avail

Is there any way to "wake up" the Unitilite

All suggestions gratefully received

The other devices may "see" the ReadyNas, but they are not running UPnP clients.  So it may well be the server that's running (or not) on the ReadyNas, not the entire device.

I'd check out the UPnP server on that ReadyNas, and restart it.

Bart, you are a star. Logged onto the NAS yesterday evening and one of the first screens I came across had a check for updates button which I clicked and subsequently downloaded the updates. As part of the update process it needed to reboot the NAS which obviously had the affect of "restarting" the UPnP server. Once all was up, took a look at the Unitilite and voila Bart’s your Guru

I'm glad it's sorted out for you! (For you Brits and Frenchmen and what-have-you (a few Dutch thrown in), that's Bart Starr, "star" quarterback of the multi-championship Green Bay Packers in the late 1950's and into the 1970's.)
