Coltrane 24 bit, significantly better ?

right now the Atlantic years is being offered on 24/96. So as I already have it all, does anybody has an opinion about the value of upgrading to the high res version. Or is a typical rip off deal ?

If it's the download that I think you are referring to then like you I already have all the albums on CD so I don't really have any incentive to buy. As the albums are out of copyright I would be very cautious as to the source of the masters.

The now also have it on offer at 24/192 but now both versions are 25 euros more expensive. This is a shame. The same happened to me over the weekend... Happy to see Led Zeppeling deluxe 30 euros, now at Qobuz 9 euros less....

And by the way unformatunatelly nobody to tell me if the 24 bit versions are significantly better than the normal 16/44.1 ones....

As I bought it myself now, I could test it. Yes it's better, significantly is perhaps a big word, but for me it was worth the difference .
