Posted by: 'Jörgen Hansen on 22 February 2015

When i try to play music to DAC V1 with usb cable i get a BSOD on my PC every time.

I have installed the driver correct as it says in the manual.

That would be to fall out of the frying-pan into the fire.

If trying an uninstall, reboot, reinstall, reboot of the driver software doesn't resolve it, then it is probably another driver interfering.

You don't say what operating system you are using. I find I hardly get BSOD anymore since Windows 7 and I 'experiment' a lot with my machine.

If you can't find it, I would disconnect all other devices and add the V1 only and see if it works then. If it does add the other devices one by one and see which one is th culprit.

Good luck

I think Aleg's advice is spot on.

You may have a number of problems which ultimately may be resolved by a clean installation of windows.

the DAC V1 has performed just fine with my Mac, Squeezebox touch and windows 7.

No issues whatsoever.
