Why Oh Why, Beyond the wit of man, etc. iTunes on PC
Posted by: Adam Meredith on 23 February 2015
Is anyone else having 'problems' with the latest update of iTunes on their PC?
My problem is that it crashes on start-up. Which is a nuisance.
Why did I update? (before you ask) - because it promised to sync with Outlook properly - which it hadn't been doing.
Would I like to uninstall it and everything to do with it and re-install? About as much as I did the other two times I had to.
It has proved quite high maintenance on my PC.
No problems so far for me. In fact it actually resolved a couple of issues I was having with internet radio.
Weirdly - mine has opened. I will make the best of it.
I try and avoid doing any iTunes updates until I am absolutely forced to because something else won't work as a result.
As such, I've managed not to do this one either so far.
Good luck with it Adam, hope you can avoid doing the uninstall/ reinstall again.
It's not only iTunes with PC that have problems Adam. I had a similar problem with my Mac logging me out when quitting Audirvana after the last iTunes update. Very frustrating.

A drag. But you're dealing with some driver/library/antivirus/adblock conflict maybe. If you delete and reinstal the music file should stay so looks like you have only one way. it's a dirty job but.....

I'm struggling to think of a reason why I'd want Tunes to sync with Outlook.
The most high maintenance software I know. Currently on iTunes v.12.0.1.26 and that's were it's staying.

In which case you probably don't.
I, sur l'autre m, wish to sync my contacts, tasks and calendar - make a backup and secure my application purchases.
I have an Apple telephone.
iTunes on a PC is (one of) Apple's ways of telling you that you need a Mac. And, once you've lived with a retina display, there's no going back. Album cover artwork, for one, is just so much better.

They would say that - wouldn't they?
C'est une pente savonneuse.

I'll survive.

No problems at all here apart from the fact that I can't add and remove apps on my ipads via itunes, but thats been an issue ever since I updated them to ios 8
I was filled with much happiness when I deleted iTunes.
