Spotify connection

Hi

Have Uniti2 and Spotify app on ipad Air2.  I select Spotify on the Uniti and play a track, but the Uniti simply says 'no track playing' even when Spotify is playing a track.  Silly question, but is the problem that I should be using this with the upnp on my main Mac switched on or is there another basic thing I am not doing like having Spotify on the Mac as well?  Many thanks Alan

Nothing to do with upnp.

On your iPad Air 2 you have to define that Spotify has to play on the Unity 2

Have you told spotify that it should play via Unity2?

Push on the speaker symbil inside the circle and select the device.

Hi

Well I did wonder about that, but could see nothing obvious (not to me anyway!) in the Spotify settings that looked like such an instruction.  Perhaps I have missed it?  Regards Alan

Alan, two things.  Select the Spotify input on your Naim app so that your Uniti2 will look for that as the input.

Next, when you do that, click the 'launch Spotify app' button that appears.  Within the Spotify app, click the little speaker icon that shows up next to the play/back/forward buttons.  If all is proper, your Uniti2 will show up as a possible device to connect to.  Select it.

Will do - I think it may be this final point that I have not done.  Thanks
