HDX input to Snait 2

Hi, I have the HDX connected to the CD-In in the Snait 2. Now I looked up some connection schemes on the Naim Audio page and found one where the NDX was connected to the HDD IN port on the Snait 2. Question: Is there any difference between these two ports?

They will sound the same. I imagine the logic behind the connection scheme is that the HDX is a HD rather than a CD player.
