Irritatingly catchy tunes

Once in a while something like that catches in my brain and won't leave.  The most irritating part is I'll remember part of it, then not be able to complete it and start all over again......AAARRGH!

Since getting the remastered 'Let it Bleed', I can't get "Love in Vain" out of my head.

If you listen to bbc 6 music they refer to this as an "ear worm" I often wake up with really random tunes in my head......

Sorry, just been listening to "British Hit Parade 1960".  Amazing how many songs from that period used a pizzicato violin.  Then in the 80s it was that omnipresent digital drum sound and the bell-like voice of the Yamaha DX7.

It has become a bit of a nightmare for me but "The Ketchup song by Las Ketchup" just wont go away, have even listened to the macarena over and over again but to no avail.....

Brown Girl in the Ring!  Tra La Lah La Lah.  Hideous!  Nearly as bad as The Birdy Song.

There must be a few Boney M tunes still to come. How about Belfast? What a bizarre song that was. Catchy though.

'Hold Me Close' by David Essex usually drives me nuts for days. Bollox, i've just infected meself!!
