Tribute to a great man

LA Phil this week paid tribute to Ernest Fleischman general manager of the Philharmonic.  Boulez, Salonen, Dudamel and others talked about knowing him and played new music that he really promoted on the LA scene here. Interesting music played also.

Fleischman offered Salonen the post  in a flash decision and also Dudamel beside getting Disney Hall built, that is the most amazing place.  I've seen Ernest constantly at Ojai Festival that he helped manage and really did great things with new music and performers. Quite a history I didn't know of.  He is definitely missed,  if the link doesn't work it's on KUSC.org  down the list of PODCASTS.
