Classical guitar study music

Dear All,
I likes the sound of classical guitar, with Spotify I found some songs like this one:

Is someone that has explored classical guitar studies so kindly to suggest me a nice CD or even better an HD release of similar music (the example is available only in mp3)? Thank you.

Please clarify what you mean by study music. Do you mean studies designed to highlight a particular technique such as scales, arpeggios, intervals, slurs etc?  With due respect, the example you cite has nothing to do with classical guitar repertoire.

There is a vast output of studies composed for the guitar from both the 19th century and the 20th century. As a starting point check the Naxos label who over the years have been recording most of the guitar's repertoire(available to purchase on CD or to download). From the 19th century the major figures who composed didactic studies include: Sor, Giuliani, Carcassi, Carulli, Coste, Regondi and later Tarrega. From the 20th century Villa-Lobos, Brouwer, Carlevaro, Garcia and numerous others. I hope this helps.

Thank you NoNaim for your kindly answer.
I'm just looking for a start into the listening of the classic guitar that I like since years but without time for exploring seriously, I will start from the helpful list you mentioned.
I would not dislikes anyway in any eventually CD with a collection for solo guitar from selected poignant parts of the melodies that you would also kindly suggest. Best regards, Maurizio

Then try Julian Bream Plays Granados andAlbeniz. The music was originally written for piano, but you'd never know it. Bream's a seemingly effortless master and this album's also beautifully recorded.

May I suggest these two:

I find Bream to be much more tuneful than many of the "speed merchants" of today (e.g., Barrueco, Williams) with a more even interpretation; not that he can't play fast when needed.

Another CD I really like is this one by Bosnian born guitarist Denis Azabagic:

Although it may be tough to come by.

And anything Segovia is probably going to be to your liking.  Here is one with guitar studies on it, but they are many delightful little pieces.  I like the Aguado & Sor studies especially:

And lastly for a lesser known guitarist whose work is very nice, look at Carlo Pezzimenti (available through CDBaby)

Dear Gary and DrMark,

such a pleasure to read also your replies. I appreciate, and I feel I'm not alone with interest on classical guitar.

Segovia I know already, only on CD, but the recording quality is very very very low, maybe was just a cheap edition. I will search your suggestion as used CD.

I thank you all!

The classical guitar is often overlooked in classical music, but I feel it's one of the few instruments that can capture such a broad range of sound and emotion,

My regular Classical Guitar recommendation :

An old student of the great Barrueco (and NOT a speed merchant ). This recital is simply JAW-DROPPING. Trust me

Enjoyable performances of Albeniz's more popular works originally written for the piano but transcribed and regularly played on the guitar.
