Just auto downloaded haven't had a play as yet.

Are you sure you've updated to 4.4? I'm still seeing 4.3 on the app store. (Possibly you've just reverted from Beta to Public version?)

(There are minor n-Serve and Spotify updates too.)

You're braver than I am. I never install any new releases immediately, usually wait for things to settle down. Looks like the new release just updates compatibility with iOS8 which I don't have.

Any new features ?

cheers, paul

They were on the iPhone and updated automatically, the iPads I do manually, not sure why?

Yes it is version 4.4 at 43.1MB dated 12 March.

n-Serve has a new icon for the app on the iPhone screen, naim app now asks you to register your product through the app.

They both work fine, the n-serve app has a new colour scheme, the naim app has a lot of upgrades three new features plus about 7 fixes.

New : Product registration feature

New : Help feature on settings screen

New : User option to show tracks options popup rather than immediately playing when track is tapped

"New: User option to show track options popup rather than immediately playing when track is tapped"

Might be misunderstanding this, but a tapped track still adds the lot at once and I don't get an option (options still obtained by tapping the three dots).

Disclaimer: I am old, and easily confused...

The n-Serve app's icon is now black and white.  BAH (or is it baaaaaaaa).

Hopefully this will fix the random connection loss problem with ios8. It gets really frustrating when you are browsing your collection and it suddenly drops the connection to the nas or streamer. It has been mentioned previously that its an apple problem but it only happens with the naim app, so it certainly looks like a naim app problem to me. Still, hopefully they have fixed it with this update.

You have to activate this in the settings. As I am using the german version I can only guess the menu titles: inputs -> UPnP -> tap to show options

Touch and hold a single track, will give you the option to add the track next, last etc. dead easy.

I updated the iPad app the other day and now when I try to play a playlist it plays the first track then stops. Any idea why?

Neil, I think you're referring to playlists created on another device that plays to your Naim streamer by UPnP? Anyway, are you selecting the first track, and assuming it will play it, then all remaining tracks in the playlist? Instead, before entering the playlist, tap on the ... symbol next to the playlist name, then select play. Alternatively, from within the playlist, tap on the ... symbol at the top, not next to a track.

Hope that helps?
