Hello,

when or better if DSD comming for all an firmwareupgrade, since NAC N 272 can now play this Format

It's in active beta . . . so "soon!"

If I understand you .......... 

Naim are working on it & its been released to the beta test team for evaluation.

There is no indication yet of when it will be available for general release,  but I don't expect it will be so long.

Am I right in thinking Naim hasn't made any comment about DSD  and the standalone DAC products?

Hi,

the N272 does DSD because they using in their Streamer a software based DA conversion nistead a Chip as in their external DA Converter . If you have a upnp client which can handle DOP , Asset is working on it the Streamer will eat dsd.

 

i cant wait for it, because i think and also my Girl that dsd is better then Pcm

Also wondering if the uServe will get updated to serve DSD files.. and support for Album Artist metadata would be nice at the same time!

I use atm asset Beta , and naim App is shown Album , Tracks , etc as it should be, only one thing is missing... The Streamer doesnt Support DSD Right now

As whined elsewhere, I can't wait to listen to Rachel in DSD64 on my NDS indeed.

Is this going to take much longer or should I buz her now in 192kHz or even.. trade in NDS for 272? - not.
