Spotify dropouts

Posted by: Gremlin on 22 March 2015

Is any body noticing dropouts tonight I have had spotify drop out at least 10 times and it is on a wired network. This has never happened before and is on a unity mk1. It's annoying ad I keep having to find my iPad to reconnect. I've started to listen to CDs now as I was hoping to find some new artist tonight.
No doubt it will be ok tommorow but I know it's not my internet as my kids were playing on the ps4 in other room on wifi and there game didn't freeze Internet is fiber optic so no speed issues.
On a plus note I've just listen to pink Floyd dark side of the moon and I haven't listened to that for ages

How are all your devices connected to your network? Could be that your network is struggling to manage data correctly with multiple devices making demands on it.

Having said that, I put Spotify on here and it's dropped out 3 times in the last 20 minutes. Maybe their servers are playing up......?

That's what I thought it seems better this morning, only time will tell and I've got plenty as I've got a day off

For me, Spotify is not a problem at all. It appears to be quite rock solid most f the time with only minor interruptions, certainly no worse than any radio station. However, apart from the nuisance of having to reconnect to my Muso every time I close the lid of my MacBook Air, its actual inconsistent disappearance from the list of selectable output devices to my mind is not acceptable. In order to retrieve the Muso I have to reboot the MacBook which is fortunately less than a minute. The B&W A7 and Apple TV do not have this 'feature' and are always available.
