Well thanks to gary i now have an Aries on loan for the weekend feeding Hugo. Its new out of the box so won't comment on SQ just yet, but its been a doddle to connect and setup. Will it be an NDX beater. Will see.

Bit of a shame i only have the Hugo USB cable, hopefully it won't degrade the sound too much.

Better use a good quality spdif/coax into Hugo, is better than USB.

Ive been told the prefered option for the Aries with Hugo is USB. However i will try coax as well as this will be a fair comparison with the NDX coax out.
