Location of playlists for HDX?

I'm trying to configure Asset on my NAS for 'Watched playlist folders'

Where are the playlists actually stored?

Are they on the NAS or the HDX?

I think it depends on the playlist. For example, on Asset, to see the "newest" albums, you go to "Playlists" and newest albums is listed there.

However, on the HDX, the newest albums appear in a different location on N-Serve, not as a "playlist".

As another aside, if I choose to make a new playlist using N-Serve, it can only make the playlist on my HDX as in my setup, my NAS is purely used as a back-up destination.
