Love this programme. Usually very funny and finely made. Tonight's was a departure in part. Emotional.

Agreed Jamie. A rare and welcome slice of intelligent drama from Messrs Pemberton and Shearsmith.

Next week's episode looks promising too.

Yes, they've still got it.

I do think that Sheridan Smith moves ever closer to National Treasure status each time she appears in something too.

Btw if anyone's going to watch on catch up, best to avoid any previews or synopsis beforehand! You really need to see it 'fresh' first time I think...

Love it, really enjoyed the first series. Dark humour at its best, excellent script and acting.

PS, Hi Shoot, nice to see you back!

What a talented bunch they are. Mark Gatiss included. I enjoyed series 1 and have the start of the new series ready to watch.

I remember when "The League of Gentlemen" came out in the late 90's, it was such a ground breaking comedy, much like Monty Python & The Young Ones in previous decades.

First two just terrific.

Who'd a thunk it? Michelle Dotrice - Betty Spencer herself - as Sheridan Smith's mum? Frankly that would have been worth watching if all they had done was stare at each other for half an hour. Missed a trick by not calling the character Jessica though.

I do wonder if there will be any attempt to link the stories, but whether or not: magic, creepy, unsettling, funny, thought-provoking and brilliant television.
