HDX: Frontend crashes deleting downloaded genres

Posted by: Checkthisout68 on 04 April 2015

Hi,

funny crashes here: Every time I am trying to delete one of these music genres coming with a downloaded file, the fronted hangs, then display goes into "please wait" forever.

However, I can still get in through a browser, but when I try to delete this same genre, it hangs again. This is a bug I suppose as it also does not delete the change of ripped CDs under the same genre.

It should display something like "done for 20 tracks, 10 unchanged".

Software is latest version, HDX latest version with 2 TB as well.

I will download a piece of software to change the tagging on the downloaded albums manually, but this will take some time to be completed ,-))

However, as I cannot define any personal -say- columns / sorting criteria or at least evaluate music like in itunes I must get rid of my 60 something different genres. I have 8 times Pop-Rock / Rock-Pop / Pop Rock and so on....

n-Serve can be improved a lot.

Best

Chris

You use nserve to change the genre of ripped files, but it does not work with downloaded files that you put in the downloads folder. Get a copy of dBPoweramp and you will be able to manage the metadata of downloads perfectly.

Thanks for your advise. Will try!

Poweramp integrates into windows explorer, so you just right click on the tracks and you can change metadata really easily. You can also change file formats, album covers and so on. It really is very clever.
