Fuse Blown

Posted by: Mr Paws on 08 April 2015

Hi Chaps,

Got home tonight to find my Unitiqute 1 was dead so I checked the mains plug fuse and all ok there so I pulled the internal fuse out and checked that and it had blown. However there was a spare one so gave that a quick check and installed it and all is well again.

I'm a bit concerned that the fuse has blown which is very unusual but now I'll have to replace it so I suppose i'll have to contact Naim and get a new one or buy one from somewhere else?

Has anyone had an internal fuse blow like mine did?

Cheers

You might have had a brief power glitch... If the replacement fuse stays intact then I would say you have nothing to worry about... and have the comforting feeling that the original fuse has done its job well. I would get replacement from Naim or dealer, as they are normally specially rated slow blow types.

Hi Simon, Good to hear from you Sir. Thanks for your advice I'll order a new fuse ASAP.

The mains around my area is somewhat tetchy and has been for years so it's no surprise we get glitches from time to time.

Cheers..
