It's back...

...for one last time.
The Greatest TV Drama Ever (TM), Mad Men, is nearing its end, and if tonight's episode was anything to go by, it's going to go out with a bang.
That was fabulous television, both hallucinatory and desperately sad. Clever writing and plotting, some great acting, particular from Hamm, Moss and Hendricks. The scenes with Don at the shiva and in the diner; and with Joan and Peggy with the appalling McCann frat boys and in the lift were fantastic, and fantastically moving. One of those classic Mad Men episodes that will bear repeated viewing.
It’s a sign of just how good the writing is that there were no lengthy expositions about the McCann takeover – it just became clear over time. I wonder if they’re still called SC & Partners?
It’s like meeting an old and dear close friend after a long absence.
When I saw Roger’s ‘tache I fair spat out my Old Fashioned – what an extraordinary piece of facial hair it was. Here chez Kevster we were delighted to see the return of Rachel M (marvellous Maggie Siff) – a pity that her reappearance was so fleeting, as she was always my favourite non-Joan female in the show.
And it was good to see Kenny Campbell – one of the show’s genuine nice guys – getting his own back on the firm that had treated him so badly.
