Naim app bug ? - HELP !

Posted by: phosphocreatine on 23 April 2015

Hi to everyone !

I control my Nac252 with the NDX.

The streamer is connected to the 252 on the Aux 1 (and when I select Nas or Spotify as a source on the NDX, the 252 switches automatically to Aux 1).

The problem is that when on the Naim app (on my IPad or on the IPhone) I flag the Aux 1 to be seen on the home page of the app and I exit the app, the next time I switch on the app again, the Aux 1 input is not on the home page and I have to flag it again in the settings.

is it a bug ? Did I miss something on the instruction manual ?

Every help to understand is highly appreciated.

I don't understand what do are trying to do & why you want to see AUX-1 on the app

I actually don't know how you get AUX-1 on the app anyway

You touch the NAS (UPnP) or Spotify logo on the app screen & its switches the 252 to AUX-1 & plays NAS or Spotify  - thats it & thats all you need

On my 552 when I implemented system automation, Streaming (NDX) was associated with AUX 1, which appeared on page 2 of the Naim App home screen.

I used the Remote on the NDX to access System Automation, where I was able to associate the NDX with the Input HDD instead (which appears on the first Home Page screen).

Hi Mike-B,

On the home page of the app you can have the various inputs of the NDX and of your preamp (and of your DAC if you have one).

My problem is that the input of the Nac252 where the NDX is connected (in my case is the aux 1 as programmed on the preamp) every time I switch on the app again vanishes from the home screen (and so I have to flag it again)

Hi Gary Shaw !

in my case all the inputs are on 1 page: if I flag the aux 1 in the settings of the app it appears on the first page of the app but if I close the app and switch on again it's not there anymore (and so I have to flag it again in the settings)

I'm a bit confused now! Is the AUX 1 on the second page of the Home Screen? If there are tow pages, there are two little dots that indicat which page you're on.

if you do have two pages, then disable (through the Input menu of the App) any Inputs you aren't using (e.g. the USB) and eventually AUX 1 will appear on the first Home page.

On the NDX, have you associated the NDX with AUX 1 as your Streamer?

Yes Gary Shaw: the demonstration of this is the fact that if on the app I select for example Spotify (or other sources of the NDX like the NAS), the 252 switches automatically to aux1

Ah. OK. If the AUX 1 icon is disappearing I will confess to being clueless! Sorry.

Thanks anyway Gary Shaw, maybe Richard can help ?
