Humax YouView

SWMBO uses a Human 2000 YouView PVR in our living room.  Last night she came upstairs to ask me why it kept showing subtitles, even though I had disabled them in its menu settings when I installed it for her, and showing her how to do this.  I'd never read the manual, but after a bit of head scratching and RTFM, I realised that the machine uses the same button to DELETE recordings, and to switch SUBTITLES on and off.

What she was doing was occasionally forgetting to STOP the recording playback before attempting to delete the (already watched) recording.  I explained this to her, and also showed her that pressing DELETE when watching a TV program just switched subtitles on/off.

What moron at the developers thought it was a good idea to combine these two often used functions on the same remote button?
