Firmware update

When making the disc for the firmware update for a naim ns01. Should I make the disc a cd That can be played in CD players or a flash drive type that can be read by computers
I thought it needed to be an ISO image disk?
I believe the NS01 is basically the same as the HDX, which requires the ISO to be burned to a CD and then loaded into the optical drive to update the firmware.

. . . and burned to make the cd 'bootable' -- not merely a copy of the .iso file on the cd. I think that I have the terminology correct.
Steven, it needs to be an ISO image, not a playable CD and not a flash drive type. You don't need to do anything to make it bootable as Bart believes.
The ISO image should be downloaded fom Naim website and 'simply' burned to a blank CDR disc. I say 'simply' because the ISO image burning option may not be what's presented to you. You may have to press some buttons or tick some boxes in order to get an ISO image on your CD ! Different operating systems & software approach it slightly differently (of course), but you don't choose 'audio CD' or 'flash drive type' or 'bootable'.
...simple (honest).
Steven,
If you have a PC you can use a free program called ImgBurn to burn the ISO image file to CD.
Steve
I had several attempts at burning a CD for the last update for my Unitiserve, and none of them worked. I phoned tech support, and Phil explained that burning these files to CD on a Mac was often problematic. He kindly posted me a CD which did the update with no problems.
