BB King Dies

Another very sad loss. One of the very last Blues Greats.

RIP.

Sad news indeed, but he has left a huge legacy for us to continue to enjoy.  His place in music history is well defined. I met him in the early 80s in Bristol and was surprised by the size of his hands, my hand seemed swallowed in his!

Today I shall play 'Live at the Regal', a long time favourite of mine.

RIP BB.

Really sad news. I saw him play live 6 or 7 times from the mid 80's onwards, and his albums have remained a constant with me for the past 35+ years.

Loved his music and he seemed a genuinely nice person. One of the all time greats, shown by the number of musicians that have already acknowledged his influence on all sorts of genres of music.

My thoughts and best wishes are with his family, friends and millions of fans across the world.

Nigel

I saw him last at Wembley Arena supported by the late Gary Moore. Cracking concert all around.

By his own admission, 15 children by 15 different women.  He was energetic in his day.
