How many artists would do this?

Well, there I was sitting listening to some new music on the TIDAL Rising section of the TIDAL site when Matt Bradford's album "Broken Hymns" appeared.  I loved it.  Hard to describe as a genre but Americana in feel for sure.  Having previously lived in the US 12 years and a lot of that time being exposed to Texas Country and Americana in general, it's a style of music that I am very close to.

Having decided I wanted to buy the CD I went to Amazon - not available there.  Went to Mattbradfordmusic web site.  NO CD for sale section there - just MP3 downlaods or the same on iTunes, but there was a Contact section, so I submitted a question asking where in the UK I could buy the CD from.

This was Saturday night.

I woke up Sunday morning to find 2 emails from Matt.

The first one saying that it wasn't for sale in the UK yet and that he would send me a CD but shipping costs looked ridiculously high.

The second email was the stunner though.  He sent me through links to the WAV file masters that were used for the CD for me to download and that if I felt like it I could send a donation.

Needless to say, I made a donation.

Made my weekend.
