Spotify Dropouts

I see that there has been discussions on Spotify dropouts in the past but I cannot see any resolutions to peoples problems.

I never used to get dropouts on Spotify but they have suddenly started happening when I play long playlists, something I didn't do in the past.

My streamer is UnitiLite and I have no problems on iRadio or upnp playing FLACs upto 192/24.

I have also noticed that when a long dropout occurs that my iPad becomes very unresponsive and I think they may have started after the last iPad OS update.

Any ideas?
